Don't Forget...

Regarding Joshua's conquest of northern Canaan and the kings that inhabited the region, keep in mind that "...it was the LORD's doing to harden their hearts that they should come against Israel in battle, in order that they should be devoted to destruction and should receive no mercy but be destroyed, just as the LORD commanded Moses." ~ Joshua 11:20

Let's be careful that we keep a well-rounded view of God Almighty. He hardens whom He will harden and shows mercy to those He will show mercy. He is sovereign, and His purposes will not be thwarted. This is, in fact, fantastic news for those who depend on Him alone for salvation, since He promised to hold, protect and defend them to the end.
